Report of visit Mongolia, May, 2008

On invitation from Mongolian representative & Office Bearers I made a programme to visit Mongolia with Susumu Yoshida President APF to meet their Members/ Office Bearers, President & others top dignitaries for the promotion of Powerlifting Sports at Mongolia.


As Mongolia gave bid to host Asian Championships for Powerlifting and single lift Benchpress for the year 2010 our aim was also to see their infrastructure to finalization of their bid & full membership.

We both reached at Changis Khan International airport, Ulaanbaatar on 27th of May, 2008 a warm reception was made at the airport from the Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation. During our 2 days visit we have seen 3 Venues for the Asian Meet and met top officials of Mongolian National Olympic Committee Mr. Judger Otgontsagaan (Gen.Sec) & Mr. Ch.Naranbaatar (Chairman) Mongolian State Committee of Physical Education & Sports on 28th of May, 2008 & discussed a lot to promote Powerlifting Sport in the Country like Mongolia they have also shown keen interest to organize 2010 Asian Powerlifting & Asian Benchpress Championships they also assured us they will help this new born Federation (Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation) for their yearly activities like organizing their National Championships/ Coaching Camps/ Participation of International Meet etc.


On 29th May, 2008 we have seen the Ulaanbaatar city, the city is small and beautiful specially weather was so nice during our visit we have enjoyed city tour by watching many things alongwith inside of Mongolian Parliament which was made possible because of Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga after visiting Parliament we have seen 4th East Asian Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship inauguration Ceremony then finished our lunch in a best Indian restaurant Delhi-Darbar which was situated in the heart of city after lunch we made a trip to outside city, country side tour with some famous place of interest like huge Changis Khan Statue made of stainless steel it may be 300-400 feet high from the ground level, width may be 300 feet & inside the Statue big hall hotels & stairs to climb upto the neck of Changis Khanfs horse Susumu took many picture of that Statue after visiting this famous world No-1 monument (going to be after finish) because work on progress we have visited country side to see their standard of living at the ancient age on the way we have tried shooting of long distance bottle they kept fortunately on my first shoot I hit the bottle but Susumu tried 2-3 times and missed closely to hit the bottle, so many good riffles in our car for hunting purpose we were 10 people all are the member of Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation in 2 big SUV.

We came back to city & met Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia he is very nice man very very rich in every corner specially as human being he is also doing Powerlifting, Benchpress and wish to compete in the forthcoming Asian Benchpress Championship to be held at Hong Kong during 4 ? 6 December, 2008.


Next morning on 30th May, 2008 at 9:00 clock all of the members & office bearers of the Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation met in the hotel for breakfast the hotel was beautiful & more beautiful is that the hotel owner is Khaltmaa Battulga President. About 9:30 am I have started to catch my flight to Delhi via Beijing all of the members came to the airport to see me off this trip was a remarkable & memorable to visit any Country in my life.


On conclusion myself & Susumu was in one opinion this Country has a great future so we should allot them for hosting Asian Championships & take them in our midst as full member of APF. I am very thankful to the persons whom I met and at last all the members & office bearers who was around me named Munkh Erdene Davaatseren (VP), Dul Lkhagvasuren (Sec), Sosorbaram Jargalsaikhan (President, Taekwon-do), Jambachoimbol Enkhsaikhan (General Director, Mining & Trading) , Sergelen Batbayar (General Director, Mottoo) & others specially Munkhnasan Geleg (Interpreter).
